Rice TOGO Browser is designed to provide integrated information on various types of genomics data, namely, genome sequence, genetic markers, phenotypic traits etc, through an easy-to-use and intuitive user interface for supporting functional and applied genomics strategies. It has browsing capabilities for rice genome mapping and sequencing data via a keyword search that allows search for terms across the genome to display the location of the hits on the chromosomes, region search to find genes between specified regions delineated by RFLP/SSR markers, primers or any sequence, and trait search to find mapped QTLs associated with phenotypic traits. The data generated from each search option are displayed in three distinct viewers, a chromosome viewer for an overview of the position of genes or traits in the entire genome, an integrated map viewer for accurate localization of genes and traits in the genetic and physical maps, and a sequence viewer for details on structural features of the gene/genes or region. The data generated from various search options are also summarized in a table format with links to other information and download option. A graphical viewer for homology search in a specified set of sequence data is also provided via the BLAST-NAVi (BLAST No similarity region Analysis Viewer) to reveal information not only for regions with similarity but also for regions with no hit to any subject sequence.
Rice TOGO Browser is the rice component database of AgriTOGO, a unification database system for information and resources generated from various genome projects of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
